Gear List for Mt. Kilimanjaro

Black indicates taken; Red indicates after the fact suggestion of change.

Total porter duffel bag weight with -36F Mountain Hardwear sleeping bag (rented) – 27 lbs. (I came in under weight required for porters to carry.) Total day pack weight with rain gear, snacks, other electronic equipment and 4.5 L of water – 25 lbs (up to 30 lbs. when extra jackets/layers were required for the day). My DSLR camera bag with accessories was carried by an extra porter hired specifically to carry the camera gear.
